Challenge Accepted

One of our goals has been to return walking on the trails here in our community, which was one of our favorite things to do prior to the stroke. As you've seen by some of previous posts (and now this one), this is happening!  Just this week we conquered the west side Trail B with very little help of any assistive device. We've gone from wheelchair, to walker, to cane, to nothing in what seems like a relatively short time. (I bring the cane, but he says "NO" most the time) Our jaunts are short, so far we've only gone 3/4 of a mile at a time (and they take awhile) but now we've only one section our favorite trails yet to travel. (hopefully tackling that one this weekend)

Our goal by the end of the year is to walk the full Four Seasons Circle loop which is 2.1 miles.

Super proud of this guy! 💗

West Trail B. Conquering the trails one at a time, even on a chilly morning.

Enjoying lunch al fresco at Smitty's Bistro in our main Clubhouse after our walk. The sun felt so good!
